Merry Christmas Friends ...
I hope you enjoy the season and the reason !

That Special Christmas...
I can remember my brother getting a lap Steel Guitar
and I getting my first Electric Guitar and we both
sharing the same amp with a huge 8 inch speaker !!
Then my brother got a drum set and I got a paper route 
and a bigger amp and there were rehearsals in the garage....... 
and what a good time !!
Oh man, did we have some patient parents and neighbors !!

Last year when I was working on my Coast To Coast CD, 
I was thinking about early influences and
Booker T and the MG's came to mind.
So I had thought, what would it sound like if I had written a tune 
for that band and I came up with "Frank Stax Up Memphis." 
Frank Jansen is a long time friend and keyboardist, 
we go back to the 80's together and we both love Booker T !
Stax was the record label they were on in Memphis TN
and with the passing of their guitarist Steve Cropper this week, 
I remember how much that music still means to me. 
I hope you enjoy the tune.
