Seta in Whittier has now become

“The Nixon”. I’m Looking forward to the

new remodel and “vibe” baby !

Starting this month I will be performing

on the 2nd & 4th Wednesday out at the

Greenbriar lounge. It will be great to see

long time friends from the East Side again!!

private holidays parties so please call

Summer is gone and I’m enjoying the beautiful Fall

season here in the SGV.Those mountains above Glendora

actually have some clear skies in Southern California !

Good friends Joe & Patty are celebrating

the 60th anniversary of their landmark restaurant

and I will be doing my Solo Show with a variety of

music this Sunday !!

at the Coach House and so I thought we

would bring the Mark Carter Project

to a brand new hot spot in Covina

This will be a evening of music I wrote

and recorded and will feature my 5 piece

Jazz/Pop Band with guest Steve Alaniz on Saxophone.

We’ve done this show at Spaghettini, Brea Jazz Fest,

Shoreline Village, Claremont Jazz Fest and many more

but I think it’s time for Covina to hear this great band !!

Ok, ok, so much for “down time” …..

Here we go folks, some good stuff here !

Thursday’s I’m still at the beautiful Seta in Uptown Whittier

and a new Friday gig at a great Mexican restaurant in Duarte.

August 11-13, I will be playing guitar

at the San Jose Jazz Festival with the great Gospel and Blues vocalist

Valimar Jansen at St Joesph’s Basilica…..She is a total blast !!

September 1 2017 The Mark Carter Quartet

will be opening the show for guitar legend

Larry Carlton at the Coachouse in San Juan Capistrano.

I have the tickets and they are $32.50 each. and if you buy from me,

I will include a copy of my West Coast Groove CD!!

I will have them at all my gigs this month or call me at 626-485-9266

Well, I’m not much on fishing , but,
I am enjoying the summer, and a litte bit of down time. I started the month with a trip to see my son, his wife and 2 kids.We took a drive up to beautiful Park City Utah and had a great visit. The kids are full of energy and I got to take a Starbucks break daily and even help out with a little potty training….. Oh, the life of a Rock Star !

There have been some private parties this month and also in August. But I do have a couple of weekend dates open if you got a Pool Party or End of the Summer Bash ? ….Cow-a-Bunga Dude !!

There are also a couple of cool things in the works for the upcoming months.
