California has officially re-opened and Dodger Stadium is packed to full capacity !! In the words of John Fogerty …..”put me in coach, I’m ready to play, today.”
My phone has started to ring again these past few weeks so I m playing a bit more and I’m feeling alot better about this summer. I don’t hink it’s just Baseball players who will stay busy. I’m swinging the bat for all my musician friends. Come on guys let’s suit up and play gigs again ! “put me in coach, I’m ready to play, today.”

I ain’t got no crystal ball……just my faith.
Things seem to be moving along in our world again,and I’m so grateful . This past week I turned down 2 jobs because I was already booked and that’s a positive sign for me. Last month I performed at 10 different private events that came in very quickly. The wheels are a turning……Thank God !
In the meantime … There’s new songs to learn, new songs to write, new lessons to teach and new lessons to learn !

Happy Valentines Day !!
I rarely perform at weddings these days, but last year being as weird as it was I actually played for two. So for the Lovers this weekend…
Long time friend and former music partner Lewie Hughes was married and I played the ceremony, reception and was the Best Man,…a first for me ! It was totally fun with Lewie jumping in and singing and entertaining… Just like 40 years ago !!!
The second was a garden wedding for another couple that was introduced from another long time friend.With mask and social distancing in place, the Bride and Groom were at the alter and it was time to place rings on each other and then………they both sprayed sanitizer on each others hands…. before the rings !!
One more, from the late 90’s. I had been leading bands at the most beautiful locations in So Cal, the Ritz Carlton’s, Four Seasons, The Grant Hotel, The Bonaventure, Del Coronado, all world class locations. One day I got a call from a couple that asked if I could play acoustic guitar at the Gazebo by Las Brisas in Laguna. So there I was with only a dozen people in the Gazebo over looking the Pacific Ocean with one of the most amazing views and picture perfect weather. Simple, Sweet and Elegant. A beautiful simple wedding ……..and priceless.

Happy New Year !!
I hope the holidays were as peaceful and enjoyable as possible at this time in our history. I’m praying with all of you, that things will calm down and move forward in the coming year. I’m looking forward to more teaching, more gigs and recording some new tunes !
